Various Artists-Forever 7" comp.

"Forever" was a compilation released by New Jersey based label Irate Records. It was released back in 1990 and consists two local hardcore bands plus the New Yorkers Citizens Arrest, Born Against and Burn:
Turning Point was a sXe band from NJ,they were connected with a bunch of bands such as No Escape, Christ, Pointless and others, they formed in 1988 and the same year they recorded a demo tape, their discography is the st ep(1988,Hi-Impact Records),"It's always darkest before the dawn" lp(1990,New Age Records) and a split with No Escape (1991,Temperance Records). (1990.Temperance Records). They disbanded in 1991. Jade Tree (bleiahh) released a 39 track discography cd in 2000. in 2002 the vocalist Frank "Skip" Candelori passed away.
Born Against...they are widely known and you probably know a lot of them, They gave a new breath to NY scene with their political lyrics, they shared members with Life's Blood, Citizens Arrest and others ,Wikipedia has many details (here), check also this blog article from 2004
, their split with Man is the Bastard and the bootleg split with Yuppicide
Rorschach were another hardcore NJ act, they took their name from a character of "Watchmen" comic book and just like Born Against,they formed in 1989 and disbanded in 1993 too, they released the "Remain sedate" lp (1990,Gern Blandsten Records), the "Needlepack" ep on Wardance Records(1991), a split 7" w the Californians Neanderthal(1991,Vermiform), the "Protestant" lp(1992,ern Blandsten/Wardance), a split w 1.6 Band covering Black Flag's "My war"(1992, Chainsaw Safety) and the 31 track cd "Autopsy"which is their entire recording history. They also appeared in several compilations.
Burn were from NY, they released a st 7" and a st 12" in 1990, both on Revelation Records, the "Cleanse" cd (2001, Equal Vision Records), they appeared (along with Turning Point, Gorilla Biscuits and No Escape) in "Rebuilding" ep comp. (Temperance Records) and in other compilations as well
And finally the legends Citizens Arrest, they contribute here the rawest track of the compilation, You can find their rare demo in True Punk and Metal the "A light in the darkness" 7" in pope's "Am i Evil?", furthermore the german bootleg version of it, and for the finale the "Colossus" lp, the live 8" and comp tracks in this and that post .

TURNING POINT recorded 2 demos that were later re-issued as a 2 x 7" and appeared on the REBUILDING comp.

i love BURN.

can't say i'm really into "cleanse" (the reunion 12"). the s/t 7" & "last great sea" 7" are awesome. "drown" is one of my fav BURN songs... maybe i prefer the s/t 7" version, though.
